The Near Future

I cannot be specific but today it was once again confirmed to us beyond a shadow of a doubt that Mary Jo and I need to be based here in the States for now. The mission is brainstorming with us as to how we can spend more time in Japan using it as a jumping off point for future leadership development assignments in other Asian countries. We would covet your prayers that we could move to Tokyo and set up base for our ministry operations as soon as it pleases our Commander in Chief–not Obama!

On July 10 I’m scheduled to preach on “God’s Divine Power” (2 Peter 1:2-11) at Arcadia Presbyterian Church. Like Paul, I do not pray for persuasive words but for demonstrations of the Spirit’s power. I have sensed God blessing as I prepare and I look forward to what he is going to do.

We are praying about the gathering of young people who will descend on our home in the next week to watch “Finger of God” on YouTube. Most are unbelievers and we are praying the discussion will be fueled by God answering some prayers in concrete ways during the evening which will include an interactive prayer time.

Thank you very much for your interest and your prayers! Here’s an oldie but one of my favorites from our Okinawa ministry days:

Committed to ministry in Christ's name wherever he places us!
