Better is one day in your house than thousands elsewhere

As I do hours of work at the computer, I like to worship my Lord and Savior Jesus and he often transports me into his transforming presence. I love serving him and hope to be faithful and fruitful til I go to meet him or he returns.

Right now this song based on PS 84:10 “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked” came on and I’m so reminded of my testimony I shared in a prison in Kentucky the last time I was there. If not for the recurring supernatural healing touches of Christ and the accompanying renewal they bring, I would not be where I am today. No, except for the amazing grace of Christ I would be dead or in prison. Dad was an alcoholic and so was my step-Dad. I had murder in my heart many evenings growing up. One does not go there without demonic activity. But just as Jesus says, “If you are my disciple, you shall know the truth and it shall set you free.”

Check out this link. It is for a movement that is one of the conduits of Christ’s grace that He has used mightily in my life and, maybe, millions of others. I invite you to click the link and then watch the short video.

The Church must re-discover this grace from God who wants to bless his people beyond comprehension. The resulting transformation is what is needed for the Church to be a catalyst for transforming our post-Christian culture that is stumbling in the growing darkness ever closer to a precipice from which there is no return–eternally.
