God’s Unchanging Agenda from the Beginning to the End

In addition to teaching “Disciple Multiplication and Church Growth” in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia soon, they have asked me to do a chapel message at the seminary and preach 2 or 3 times in churches there. I feel honored and pray the Lord will bless me to be a blessing. I love the Church and pray we will hold our heads high as Christ’s ambassadors with gentleness and respect for those who need to know the One and Only.

Here is the message I will give at Sabah Theological Seminary Chapel on Thursday, Sept 12, 2013.  Hope you enjoy and feel free to use it in your context if you find it useful.

God’s Unchanging Agenda

         – Isaiah 40:8 The Word of God stands forever

1.  Genesis 1:1 The One and Only God made all things

8.  READ: Genesis 3:1-19 Talk about the Fall of Man (death)

11. Genesis 12:1-4  God’s plan for resolving man’s separation becomes clearer (Abram chosen, Abram obedient, willing to risk for God)

12.  Deuteronomy 5:29  God’s heart for humans.  Why fear God?  What you fear is what controls you.  God wants to control us for our good

16.  Romans 6:23  The wages of sin is death (immediate spiritual death and eventual physical death, cf. Hebrews 9:27-28)

17.  Romans 5:8  While we still sinners, Christ died for us demonstrating God’s love

18.  Romans 10:9-13  All who believe in their heart and confess with their mouth become acceptable to God and are saved

23.  Jesus came the first time as a suffering servant to pay for our sins, soon he will come back as King of Kings and Lord of Lords to reign the world in righteousness (cf. Isaiah 11:1-9—-perfect peace through the perfect knowledge of God). At that time all wrongs will be righted and every tear wiped away—the joy of believers will be complete! (cf. Revelation 21:1-4)

28.  Isaiah 11:1-9; Revelation 21:1-6  Christ is coming back to this earth again soon.  When he comes, he will come as King of Kings and establish perfect peace on earth and goodwill for all the humans who remain.
