Embodying Our Faith: Becoming a Living, Sharing, Practicing Church

Pastor Tim Morey of Life Covenant Church is in his early 30’s and leads a thriving group in Torrance, CA. He talks about his own struggles with attending church that seemed irrelevant and out of touch with is values and concerns while in college. Tim was one of the few from his generation that let his spiritual hunger keep him in church even as most of his peers said it was not for them. He readily admits that Life Covenant is not perfect–far from it–but explains how they are seeking to become a living apologetic for their faith in the surrounding community. I am recommending this book because Tim has agreed to come over to Japan and minister to all the Asian Access missionaries at the Spring Conference in Karuizawa, Nagano, Japan.

I’m sure as I read this book more will spark my creative juices and I will write on more issues that are near and dear to me.

I’m just trying to help the Church be relevant and fruitful in this interesting and challenging age we find ourselves in.
