God’s Unchanging Agenda 24 of 32

It felt like body blows as three massive earthquakes hit southwest Japan in less than a 24 hour period. My heart goes out to those without drinking water or electric power. May God sustain them and draw those who still need hope that does not disappoint.

Ecuador is reeling, too, from a devastating quake. May God’s grace surround and sustain those who are bewildered and without basic necessities.

This devotional will be used by young interns from many countries who will be serving among the devastated primarily in NE Japan.

SCRIPTURE Joel 2:25-32 From shame to glory as the Lord restores his people.

REFLECT Some of those you meet will deeply feel shame from the devastation they have experienced. What a privilege to serve as emissaries of the God of Grace! Ask for grace to have a spirit of acceptance and love for anyone you encounter.

REFLECT When you encounter someone and God gives you special insight into their heart or situation, ask the Lord if you should share this to encourage or refrain from anything too sensitive.
